The Organization The Space Coast Center for Independent Living, Inc. is a non-profit, community-based, nonresidential, cross-disability consumer-controlled organization. Services provided enable individuals with various disabilities of all ages (children, youth, adults and seniors) to live as independently as possible within their homes and communities.

Welcome to SCCIL

Home Modification Program

 

Are you disabled? Do you live in the city limits of Cocoa or Titusville? Do you need your home to become more

accessible? Do you know of anyone who will meet the above criteria?

The disabled individual will have to meet HUD guidelines for their household income.

Space Coast Center for Independent Living has grant funds to install ramps, convert tubs into walk in showers,

install grab bars and more.

NEW SERVICE

Space Coast Center for Independent Living has partnered with Legal Advocacy Center of Central Florida, Inc.


The mission of Legal Advocacy Center of Central Florida, Inc. (LACCF) is to enforce the legal rights of the disabled community, eligible low-income and elderly persons by providing advice and representation in impact litigation matters, advocating for clients' legal rights and conducting community education.


The service will be free of charge for individuals that meet SCCIL's disability requirements. Individuals that are not disabled may still receive free services but will have to meet income requirements.
Services to be provided:


Consumer Rights, Housing Rights, Immigration, Housing Discrimination,
Disability Rights, Public Benefits, Individual Rights and Educational Rights.

LACCF is not able to assist in criminal or traffic law.
